Ukraine Education phone E-learning app
The client’s goal was to create an app that would differ from other educational apps with standarized tasks and low efficiency and which would help people study on the go. Thus, MusicWords was implemented by the LinkUp Studio team as an intelligent tutoring system that allows music lovers to make learning English fun and fast. With a user-friendly interface that allows users to scan songs from their local playlist, as well as use ones from AppleMusic or Deezer services, the whole learning methodology and a flexible notification system of the app are easily adjustable to the needs fo a particular student.

Most e-learning educational apps are based on various standardized exercises and tests. Their implementation has low efficiency. Moreover, it often requires a certain amount of time and a calm atmosphere to study. The client wanted to create an app which would help people study on the go. Applying the microlearning principles would help users improve their professional knowledge while they are traveling on the subway or standing in a traffic jam by listening to the music they love. As the founder was a project manager, with a non-programmer background, he needed a reliable and extremely experienced development team to turn the idea into an app. And one more bold question: is it possible to create an online E-Learning app that will give users the ability to learn English words in an easy way as well as expand their vocabulary?
Our client, an experienced project manager, came up with a solution:
It should be an intelligent tutoring system that allows the user to choose the words for learning. The cards with these words are automatically created and appear as notifications on the screen of your smartphone.
It should be an easy-way learning app for training English language, especially for music lovers.Â
The client had visited LinkUp Studio office for initial communication before starting the project. After that, they were regularly participating in the meetings to clarify their ideas and provide specialist knowledge. LinkUp Studio team handled all the stages of product development, from specifications and design to launch and support.
Keeping an eye on technology that made the math behind MusicWords to make the process of learning English fun and fast we designed the user-friendly interface that allows users to scan songs from their local playlist, as well as use ones from AppleMusic or Deezer services.Â
The team also incorporated functions that can set up the number of notifications, which will appear in particular intervals during the day. The user also is able to select the period of time during which these notifications will appear as well as the number of words, displayed in the notification card. But we didn't stop there. We decided to expand the functionality by allowing the users to revise learning words every time they are listening to the favourite song and expand their vocabulary.Â
The client wanted to go to market as soon as possible. To speed up the development and decrease costs, the team used React Native for the mobile apps. This framework allowed using over 80% of the code for both iOS and Android. As UI/UX design was provided by the customer our task was only to put the idea into action and launch it on the AppStore and Play market.
