AI-based App Helping to Identify Skin Diseases
USA Healthcare phone Skin Health Monitoring App
After nine months of rigorous development, Linkup Studio has introduced an innovative, HIPAA-compliant skin health monitoring app. With its user-friendly design, it is poised to engage a substantial user base worldwide.
If even a modest 1% of smartphone users embrace the app, it could serve and potentially save millions. This could lead to early detection of thousands of skin conditions each month, significantly reducing disease severity and enhancing patient outcomes. Incorporating personalized schedules and reminders, the app is projected to improve treatment adherence rates, potentially boosting patient satisfaction. The app also allows logging the locations of skin conditions on bodies, delivering invaluable data that could reveal critical trends in dermatological health across various demographics. Linkup Studio continues to support and enhance the app with new, user-requested features.

ClIENT & BUSINESS CHALLENGE
The app's founders, members of the Society for Investigative Dermatology in the US, were profoundly moved by alarming data from the World Health Organization (WHO), stating that skin cancer claims more than two lives worldwide every hour. Furthermore, according to the American Cancer Society (ACS), 1 in 50 individuals will develop skin cancer during their lifetime. In the age group of 15-29, melanoma is the second most common cancer among both genders. Yet, they found hope. The Skin Cancer Foundation (SCF) estimates a 99% survival rate for skin cancer if detected early within five years.
Informed by these facts, the founders had the ambition to introduce a groundbreaking tool within the healthcare industry that could help people manage skin disorders, alleviate their uncertainties regarding potential issues, and encourage users to contact healthcare providers faster and prevent severe health complications.
For this, they needed a strong team able to harness the power of AI technology in this field, responsible for creating a comprehensive digital product design, developing the technical backbone of the app, and ensuring that the solution adheres to HIPAA compliance.

Linkup Studio has meticulously developed from scratch an innovative, user-friendly, and HIPAA-compliant beta-version of the app is designed for proactive skin health monitoring and early detection of unusual skin conditions. Utilizing AI and extensive dermatological knowledge, this tool allows users to assess risk for 29 unique skin conditions swiftly and provides immediate descriptions for further action.
Additionally, the app enables users to capture and upload photos of their skin conditions, enabling them to monitor changes over time effectively. Users can also type in their symptoms and track their sensations to detect disease more precisely. The app allows for creating personalized schedules for medication or cosmetic usage, logging the locations of skin conditions on their bodies for easy reference, and tracking the evolution of their baseline and following-up results.
Set reminders integrated into the app help users stay on track with photo updates, medication, and their skincare routines. The creation of this tool reinforces the founders' commitment to making skin screening and health monitoring more available to all.
