Two entrepreneurs from Qatar, who had experience managing Ecommerce projects in other parts of the world, also had their own application called Qarqish. They wanted to improve it and create an incredible experience for local customers.
Although the clients had a vision for the app, they were uncertain how to bring it to life. They lacked the expertise, planning, necessary tools, and skills to achieve this goal. So they needed a partner to help them achieve their idea.

Scope of work:
Qarqish.com founders approached Linkup with an issue of poor ROI: huge advertising budgets attracted a tiny number of users. They needed a complete UX/UI redesign of the mobile and desktop website versions in Arabic and English to revitalize their E-commerce platform and provide all Qataris with a luxury solution that delivers top-notch user experience.
Their goal was to construct the best marketplace in the country and help all customers easily find a variety of small businesses using the helpful platform filters, and the businesses, in return, to get a constant flow of sales-qualified leads.
As a result of the cooperation, Linkup delivered a complex and luxurious-looking redesign of Qarqish. During the collaboration, our team became a fully responsible business analysis and design partner and expanded the clients' vision of the platform's functionality, agreed on a unique product look and feel, and provided recommendations for further technical execution.
The solution involves buyer and seller profiles and contains the following product sections: a personal account, product page, shop pages, wishlists, ordering flow, messaging with stores and customers, cart, checkout, shop data dashboards, and many others.
During the work, we followed the steps cited below. When we completed the entire mobile app redesign, the clients appreciated the result so much that they decided to continue working on the desktop design as well. It proved to be an exciting challenge to rethink the product logic and structure, as normally, we create the desktop design first and then mobile responsive.
To go from idea to design faster we have prepared a comprehensive set of ready-to-use components, templates, and more.
For businesses, we have created a "My Store" section, which includes promotion tools, editing, and writing all the necessary information for users, such as basic details about the store, delivery areas, opening hours, and payment options. The product includes different memberships depending on the sales level and rating on the platform.
Qarqish has a built-in messenger for customers to communicate with stores and vice versa. Its functionality includes attaching images, videos, and emojis. There is an option to delete or archive conversations. We also designed push-notification elements so the marketplace can always be in touch with its users.
The product page includes all the classic elements of a marketplace, such as initial price, discount, product photos, description, similar products, and CTA button. The order page includes filters by status (accepted, pending, completed, or returned), a return dispute block, confirmation of delivery, and order cancellation.
A marketplace cannot succeed without convenient and intuitive cart and checkout modules. We created a smooth user flow on these pages to increase closing rates. We applied all our experience in structuring information: product information, delivery date, delivery address with an option to pin it on a map.
We've designed a product area for buyers to be able to add personal information, specify their delivery area, customize notification options, select language, change the password, and get more personalized offers from the shopping site. Shoppers can also create private and public wishlists.
Linkup's business analysis and design teams in 2.5 months delivered a comprehensive, pixel-perfect, and powerfully branded redesign of the mobile and desktop site versions for the Qarqish marketplace. We developed two separate user flows for buyers and sellers respectively and created a complete product design in English and Arabic (RTL language) following all linguistic and cultural policies, governmental regulations, and religious norms.
The clients are currently processing the creation of PWA and upgrading the website according to our development specifications. The project design reached the Top 5 on Behance in the "PWA" and "Mobile" categories.

My co-founder sister and I were frequently asked by Linkup to add comments to the Figma layouts. They thought we didn't look at it, but we didn't leave comments because we liked everything they offered!
